About the studios
Located in North Melbourne the Production Workshop has been operating since 1980. Owned and operated by David Briggs, former lead guitarist of the Little River Band, writer of Grammy nominated hits and platinum awarded record producer. David currently Lectures at Victoria University Sunbury Campus in Advanced Acoustical Design and Advanced Audio Mastering.
Production Workshop utilises:
- A vast array of vintage analogue equipment
- Latest Digidesign Pro Tools HD3 rig complete with 192 Khz converters
- A great selection of vintage through to the latest microphones.
- Yamaha G3 Acoustic Grand Piano.
Services include:
- All phases from initial recording to CD including Production.
- Specializing in CD mastering. All styles of music, with long standing recognized industry experience.
- A live location digital multi track recording service.
- Adat, Tascam DA88 and Dat tape transfer to CD.
- Specialist skills in restoration of vinyl, tape, and digital remastering.
